For 2017, there was a great turnout for spectators and competitors. In between the breaks from the drag racing, spectators had the access to check out a huge vendor row.

On display were the latest parts and apparel from all the big diesel companies. After buying your t-shirt and exhaust tip, fans could stroll down to the mobile chassis dyno and just how much power their truck could put out. If putting your truck on the rollers isn’t for you, there was plenty to see in the pits or the show-n-shine where hundreds of beautiful trucks were on display.

Classes brought drivers from all corners of the United States. Pro Dragster, Pro Mod, and Pro Street were the premier classes of the weekend which were competitive to say the least. Wade Moody with FloPro Exhaust, tops the Scheid Diesel dragster driven by Jared Jones on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately for Jones, catastrophic failure struck as the cylinder block let go mid pass while trying to catch a quicker Moody.

Jared Jones piloting the Scheid Diesel Cummins powered rail down the track. Even though they walked away with the win, Dan Scheid and Jared Jones scratched their heads on who will tear into this engine first.

Pro Street, which seems to be one of the most fun classes to watch was incredible, came down to Lavon Miller with Firepunk Diesel [8] and ODSS Points leader Dustin Jackson. Lavon Miller finished with a slower, but winning 5.48 at 137.13 mph took the win with a disqualifying red light reaction time by Jackson.

Pro Mod is a new and up and coming class, that’s getting exciting to watch. Hardway Performance [10] founder, Ryan Milliken, made the haul from Navarre, Florida to lengthen his points lead in the Suncoast Diesel Transmissions [11] sponsored Pro Mod class.

In the final round, it came down to Michael Dalton with RLC Motorsports [12] and Ryan Milliken. Dalton was quicker, but was defeated my the Florida native. Milliken finished his weekend with a 6.37 at 137 mph and jumped that much ahead in the point standings.

The 6.70, 7.70, and E.T. classes were stacked up in the staging lanes as well. Day one winner of JAMO [14] sponsored E.T. class was Kevin Meredith who defeated Kenneth Phillips. Phillips broke out on his dial in, which offered the win to Meredith.

The always popular E.T. Sportsman class staging lanes were filled up quickly.

If you have followed the Outlaw Diesel Super Series, you’ve heard the name, Eugene Ogle. Ogle had a stellar weekend. Ogle won the 7.70 index class on Friday and Saturday, as well as taking the E.T. win on Saturday, which is impressive, to say the least.

The FloPro [18] sponsored 6.70 index class had a battle between “The Great White Buffalo” of Banean Woosley and “All Black Everything” Rick Fox. At the end of the track, Woosley held of Fox with a 6.82 at 105.33 mph, which took home the win and the points back to the Woosely trailer.

Saturday, attempting a repeat of the previous night, Woosley made it to the final against Austin Doidge. Both drivers ran faster than the index which resulted in a breakout. Doidge left Kentucky with the win and the bragging rights.

After a long afternoon of racing, it was time for the 2017 Miss TS Outlaw bikini contest put on by the TS Performance Fuel Girls. After a sea of contestants went through the judging, they narrowed down the top five.

Overall, it was another successful year at Beech Bend, the heat didn’t deter any of the fans or drivers from heading out. We look forward to seeing what kind of crazy finishes and carnage the rest of 2017 brings. Be sure and tell us what your favorite part of the show was in the comments below!
