What it takes to compete at the level of the Ultimate Callout Challenge takes a serious horsepower and torque number. Shawn Baca and Industrial Injection have teamed up in creating the Shredder Series engine. These Cummins based engines are capable of plenty of power from mild to wild.

Equipped with Diamond Racing parts, Baca’s engine was on display for the crowd to gawk at. As the lead engine technician at Industrial Injection, Baca knows his way around a diesel engine and obviously knows how to make good power especially with a Cummins powerplant.

Although not on display, the engine is backed by a B&J four-speed transmission that provides quick shifting and offers a low parasitic loss.

The engine in his truck is a 6.7-liter Shredder Series engine with all of the necessary internal modifications and upgrades to handle extreme power levels. The high boost is created with these monster compound turbos that are matched with enough fuel to float a boat. Triple XP CP3 injection pumps deliver fuel to the Industrial Injection Top Fueler injectors that precisely fuel each cylinder the same.

This engine has been put through the courses as it has drag raced, engine dyno, and sled pulled multiple times. We know Baca has the power to be the top dog, but can he control it and put it to the ground coveted UCC overall win?
