SEMA 2014: Bully Dog Releases Tuning For Polaris And Sea-Doo

In recent times, the Powersports market has exploded. A few years ago manufacturers started to realize that people were willing to spend some good money on having fun. The Powersports market has just exploded with offerings and manufacturers.

Polaris RZR has in recent years become one of the highly sought after side-by-sides in the Powersports market. Even with up to 110 hp available, people are always looking for more. Bully Dog realizes this and has, recently, released a new tuner (Powersports GT) specifically for the Polaris Ranger and RZR. “We are excited to have a product for the Powersports industry,” said Adrian Croot, Product Manager for SCT and Bully Dog.

The RZR engines are part of the ProStar engine family. The engine family is made of up:

ProStar 570 is an 570cc single cylinder engine with 44 hp
ProStar 900 is an 875cc twin cylinder engine with 88 hp
ProStar 1000 is a 999cc twin cylinder engine with 110 hp

The Polaris Ranger is the workhorse of the Polaris lineup. These are offered in a wide range of configurations to get the job done. The larger engines allow someone to get the job done during the week and certainly play hard on the weekend. The Ranger, also, uses the ProStar engines and are offered in the following configurations:

ProStar 32 is a single cylinder engine with 31 hp
Prostar 570 is an 570cc single cylinder engine with 44 hp
Prostar 900 is an 875cc twin cylinder engine with 88 hp

With the Powersports GT tuner, not only are you able to bump the horsepower of the engines up straight out of the gate, but custom tuning is available as well. Any number of tuners would be able to write custom tunes for your specific application no matter how wild or mild you may take your vehicle.

The Powersports GT tuner is capable of data logging a number of parameters for up to 20 minutes. This makes it easy to record what is going on and either share the info with your buds or with your tuner to get things dialed right in.

The Powersports GT will, also, act as a gauge if you want any of the 18 parameters it can display (varies by model). “With the sensor doc station, you can also read parameters such as boost, pyro temperature and air/fuel ratio are all readable on the unit,” continued Croot.

Bully Dog is really bringing all that they have learned over the years with the on road vehicle and integrating that into the Powersports GT module. They have a ton of features packed into this monitor and it is sure to help you achieve the performance levels someone is after.
