Celebrity vehicles range from the boring and ordinary to the exotic and outlandish, this 1995 AM General H1 Hummer definitely falls in the second category! With a previous owner non other than the equally colorful Dennis Rodman, what can one expect?

The gray velour interior seats four with ample personal space, but don’t expect luxury.

This H1 is advertised as only having a dismissible 22,000 miles on the clock, but the condition of the interior suggests otherwise. That is unless you believe the previous owner actually put more miles on the interior than the driveline… lets just leave the blacklight at home for this one.

The gray velour interior is standard AM General. Clearly a derivative of the original utilitarian military-spec HMMWV. The no-frills appearance only gives way to a Panasonic head-unit, and aftermarket speakers. All the typical amenities are intact, AC, cruise control, power locks and windows. Originally customized in Huntington Beach, CA as indicated by the painter’s signature, this H1 now resides in Florida.

The 6.5-liter naturally aspirated diesel V8 is the early powerplant option for the H1.

The original diesel V8 powerplant appears to be the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated option, offered early on in the lifespan of this ultimate SUV. Later variants included a 6.5-liter turbodiesel engine as the military spec HMMWV was uprated. Of course this wagon H1 features the famous portal-axle suspension, and four-wheel drive Hummers were known for. The extensive ground clearance would easily allow this rig to drive over obstacles up to 16 inches in height. The military-spec Goodyear tires measure 37×12.5 inches for a big footprint on whatever terrain this truck encounters.

The CTIS tire inflation system allows for tire pressure adjustments from in the cab. Soft terrain has met it’s match!

Equipped with the CTIS tire inflation system, the driver of this AM General classic can control the inflation of all four tires on the fly. The ability to air-down, and air-up the tires at will allows the H1 to traverse soft terrain without getting stuck and forcing the occupants out of the cab to dig. Adding to the natural off-roadability of this rig are the standard high, and low ranges made available by the transfer case and GM 3L80E, three-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior of this H1 is unmistakable. A gray Zolatone-type finish is reminiscent of bed liner in texture, but retains a little more refinement. Unfortunately the same can not be said for the exterior graphics. Apart from a Rodman effigy peering out the back window, this Hummer is un-apologetically adorned with scantily clad women in unflattering positions. We will let you see the full “glory” of this unabashed display of exhibitionism on eBay, but we warn you it’s a bit EXPLICIT.

If the paint, and stature of this truck weren’t enough you can always kick on your police-cruiser roof lights to announce your arrival. So if you need to stand out, and attract attention this is a guaranteed way to do it. According to the current owner, Carfax gives this one a clean bill of health, but beware the baggage you may be inheriting.
