This year is ending up to be an eventful one, and the season is almost over! With only four stops remaining, the points chases are shaping up nicely for an exciting ending.
July 14th through July 15th the NHRDA invades West Valley, Utah for the 2017 Rocky Mountain Diesel Nationals. The Hotshot’s Secret Diesel Drag Racing Series will be bringing you yet, another action packed weekend with anything diesel.
Big Rig Bracket is in full swing as Wes Wimmer and Brandon Hight battle it out again, to get those must have points. In Sportsman, Scott Mckinstry has a solid 110 point lead over Justin Rosentreter, but with only a few races remaining, Mckinstry can’t afford to lose during crunch time.
Nate Morgan, in Super Diesel, has had a dominating year. Morgan leads the points chase by 120 points over the rest of the field and it will be seen if he can hang on for the championship. Super Street’s Chris Buhidar is desperately trying to keep up with the fellow Texan, Phillip Franklin. The two are only separated by 10 points!
As always, the NHRDA brings in the dirt slingers of diesel! Limited Pro Stock, Pro Stock, and Super Stock will be tearing it up at the Desert Peak Complex on Day 2 of the event.
Limited Pro Stock Puller, Amalee Mueller, is pulling away from the competition as she has taken the lead by 50 points. Chad Perkins and Steve Durant are planning on hitting the track in full force, to take over the points lead.
Throw a little more weight on the front and she’s back at it again! Amalee Mueller also leads Pro Stock pulling class, but not by much. She holds the lead over Tom Hansen by only two points.
Closing the event, the baddest of the bad, the Super Stock sled pullers. Brad Ingram only leads the points over Terry Biggs and Rodney Tarr by two points. These guys and gals are going to make it close all the way to the World Finals in Texas.
Stay tuned for all the results from the Hotshot’s Secret Drag Racing Series and the NHRDA Sled Pulls!
