Video: XDP’s Monster Truck Does A Back Flip!

If you don’t know who Dave Radzierez is, you will now! Radzierez is the owner of the world’s first diesel powered monster truck and he made history over the weekend!

The XDP Monster Truck is built off of a Patrick Enterprises, Inc (PEI) monster truck chassis. From there, a 1,400 horsepower 5.9L Cummins (fully built with a billet cam, 14mm injection pump, nitrous injection, etc.) is mounted and connected to a Profab Machine transmission. The power is then sent out to the Clark planetary axles and to the ground.

Radzierez has been running the truck for years now, and over the weekend, he did what some thought wasn’t possible (until a few years ago). Radzierez adds his name to the very small list of people who have successfully done back flips in a truck (on purpose).

Rumors had been spreading for weeks leading up to the 4 Wheel Jamboree in Lima, Ohio, that he was going to attempt a back flip. Knowing how rumors can be, we were hopeful that he would pull it off.

Well, over the past weekend, they proved to be true. Radzierez did indeed attempt a back flip and was successful. We wouldn’t consider the back flip the most graceful thing we have ever seen, but he did manage to drive away with what appears to be a fully intact truck that has no damage.

We would like to take our hats off to Dave Radzierez and the entire XDP crew for attempting such a huge and dangerous stunt. They not only know how to put on a good show, but they are willing to go the extra mile to raise the bar and are always working on taking things to new heights!
