All of us diesel owners know, that most of us would do anything we can to help out another diesel owner. However, the Nebraska Diesel Crew out of Omaha are taking it to a whole new level.
They have taken on the task of finding stolen trucks in their area. According to the KMTV news report, they start by scouring Facebook and other popular social media sites. Then a group of about 20 members mount up and take to the streets looking for stolen rides hoping to reunite the owners with their stolen vehicles. Their success rate has been very high. In just the past two days, they have recovered 2 stolen trucks.
Including one of a newlywed couple who lost everything pertaining to their wedding, including the bride’s wedding dress when the truck was stolen.
When asked why they do it, they simply said because it’s the right thing to do and they want to help out. They want to show people they aren’t just rolling coal in people’s windows but actually doing good and helping the community out. According to the crew, you can just feel the relief and the gratefulness of the owners that they recover their vehicles when you talk to them.
Now the crew does work with local authorities regularly. When they believe they know where a stolen vehicle is located or spot on, they call 9-1-1 to alert the authorities and go through the proper channels to recover the vehicles. Our hats are off to this diesel crew doing good in the Omaha area. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work! We all thank you for all that you do.
