So often in the United States when we think of diesels we think of big trucks, but in the European markets, diesels are found in practically everything that Americans have shied away from them. This, however, is about a Canadian that decided he wanted to do something entirely different.
Filip Kedzierski, of Ontario, Canada is heavily into drifting. After some major engine failure in his Skyline, Kedzierski decided he’d had enough of the RB32 inline six-cylinder engine.
It was time for something different. Something to evoke an emotion from everyone who laid their eyes and ears upon it. The car went to Argus Automotive, also in Ontario, Canada, and the car went under the knife. The team dropped in, more like squeezed in, a Power Stroke V8 diesel.
The 6.0-liter power plant was carefully placed in the vehicle. Two Borg Warner S200 turbochargers were plumbed and an F-550 five-speed manual transmission was bolted to the back of it. “By far this is the craziest thing I’ve driven in my life,” Kedzierski said. “This is going to take some getting used to.”
Using an F-550 ECU, the car was tuned and prepped to debut at Formula Drift Canada. Unfortunately, there were some fuel issues that kept the car out of the event but Kedzierski is now getting the car out to as many events as he can.
Make sure to go check out Kedzierski’s Instagram. There are several short video clips showing just how obnoxiously amazing this car is.
