Titan Fuel Tanks Introduces 55 Gallon 2017 Super Duty Tank

Titan Fuel Tanks Super Duty4 [1]

The 2017 Ford Super Duty has been taking the market by storm. From the custom rigs we saw at SEMA last year to the trucks we see on the road, the new Super Duty seems to be doing something right.

Titan Fuel Tanks [2] recently unveiled a new, larger fuel tank that will extend the distance that the 2017 Super Duty can go. The tank is for the short bed, crew cab trucks and increases the fuel capacity by 21 gallons or an additional 294 miles (based on 14 mpg).

Titan Fuel Tanks new Lock Ring makes it even easier to swap in the new tank.

In addition to this being a new product it has some new features. “The new Titan Lock Ring makes installation simple, it reduces time greatly and makes the install almost fool proof” states James Patience, Technical Manager at Titan Fuel Tanks.

This is the first in the new Generation 6 line of tanks from Titan Fuel Tanks. The heart of the new generation is how the stock fuel sending unit mounts to the tank. Generation 6 tanks feature a new Titan Lock Ring mechanism which works just like the factory tank. Slide the sending unit into the tank and twist, the tank locks in place with an air tight seal.

The new Generation 6 tanks also feature enhanced mounting straps that are made of galvanized steel mounting straps that are coated black with a baked epoxy coating. Additionally, it is very important to note that the new Ford tank maintains the stock sending unit, sending unit guard, and fuel lines.

Like all of Titan’s tanks this tank is made in the USA and carries a lifetime warranty like all of Titan Fuel Tanks. For more information on the new tank and to find a tank for your truck be sure to check out Titan Fuel Tank’s website [2].
