WTF: Black Friday Edition

[1]

Welcome back to Wrecked Truck Friday – WTF – as we continue to check out the recently deceased rigs out there in need of a rescue. Today is Black Friday, and in honor of shopping and choice, we have not one, but two busted-up trucks.

The first is a 2012 Ford F-250 in Houston, Texas [2]. It’s seen better days, what with its crumpled driver-side fender and door, as well as the hood. It’s hard to imagine what would have caused this sort of accident – was the F-250 hitting something, or was it hit by something – but thankfully, the damage isn’t too bad.

Far from cherry, this F-250 had a front-end foul-up. Thankfully, the airbags didn't go off.

Other than the windshield, everything else on the F-250 looks to be in good shape. A look at the interior shows no airbag deployments. The rest of the body is untarnished, even. As for the 6.7-liter Power Stroke, the only that jumps out as needing fixing is the rubber strip held in by push-in clips.

For our second truck, we have a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 in Crystal Lake, Illinois, near Chicago [7]. The front clip is all but gone, with the bumper a dimpled heap and fenders laying nearby.

The descriptions tells us nothing about what sort of accident caused the damage, but we do learn a few things. The oil pan, cooling system, and front clip are all in need of repair, and the interior has just one rip on the driver’s seat. It’s estimated to cost $3,000 to fix everything, which, for a 102,000-mile rig asking $14,000, seems fairly reasonable.
