When it’s October and you’re an automotive guy, there’s only one thing on your mind: the SEMA Show. Builders know all too well what it means to be under the gun. They’re expected every year to come up with something amazing. Plus, it has to be something that will grab an onlooker’s attention and make him or her do a double-take.

Here in 2017, we had plenty to choose from, even just on the off-road side of things. Trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, and even the odd Porsche or monster truck here and there; these were the stars of the show.

Whether they were there to showcase a product, or simply to be appreciated for their beauty or weirdness, we couldn’t help but get a kick out of these rides. Throughout the week, we saw it all – the good, the bad, and the head-scratchers.

But love them or hate them, these vehicles are part of what make the trek to Sin City worthwhile. If for nothing else, they should be appreciated for the level of detail and character they possess. A person (or group of people) spent time, money, and effort to get their machine crafted exactly the way they wanted it, and then had it carted to the Las Vegas Convention Center to be witnessed by thousands.

We salute each and every one of the builders that brought their creation to the 2017 SEMA Show. We’re already looking forward to next year and what untold amazement it will bring. In the meantime, however, we highly recommend you check out our gallery to see dozens of wild and wicked off-road rides.
