SEMA 2017: Titan Fuel Tanks Are Going The Distance

Getting farther without fuel stops are becoming more and more popular. Our friends over at Titan Fuel Tanks are introducing gobs of new oversize tanks out for many applications and some of the tanks allow up to almost double the fuel capacity. That will really take care of our long distance needs.

Titan now offers a tank for the new 2016 and up Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. These new tanks feature the new design torque ring on top, that harness’s the sending unit to the top of the tank like the factory tank. This 36-gallon tank is a tremendous upgrade over stock if you’re looking to go the distance.

At the Titan Fuel Tanks booth, we caught up with James Patience to get the scoop on the new items. “You’ll probably notice that some tanks don’t match factory shapes,”Patience said. “That’s because as trucks evolve, our engineers are forced to get creative and mold around factory components but also, provide the most capacity out of the area given.”

For the 2016 and up Nissan Titan XD pickup truck, Titan introduced their 50-gallon tank. This new tank offers double the capacity and doubles the range over stock. Like all other Titan products, made in the US, contains a lifetime warranty, and is constructed of a military grade crosslink polymer that offers durability while being lightweight.

“Because of the durability of the product, we can offer a lifetime warranty,” Patience continued. “We trust our products. If you own a diesel truck and you’re wanting to go fishing, hunting, camping, or just want something to pull a trailer, find us, we’ll have something for you.”

On display, Titan also had a tank for the 2017 Ford Super Duty and the Trail Trekker. Titan’s 40-gallon auxiliary fuel tank for small diesel trucks such as the Chevrolet Colorado as well as the Ram and Nissan. The Travel Trekker makes the truck usable for long trips, utilizing an electronic controller to monitor and transfer fuel into the primary system.
