In this day in age, everyone is trying to get the most out of their diesel trucks, or any car for that matter. With a ton of aftermarket companies out there, there are many different options for many different parts. One part that comes to mind is a cold air intake. Some say they aren’t doing anything to the performance of your truck, but after proven test results, these things work. Luckily for us, Sinister Diesel is proud to announce some new parts.
Depending on your vehicle, a cold air intake can add anywhere between 5 and 20 horsepower. Among additional horsepower, a cold air intake can help boost the engine’s responsiveness to acceleration by feeding the engine with more cleaner air faster. Sinister just released their all-new cold air intake for the 2008-2010 6.4-Liter Power Stroke and their intake features build and materials specifications like no other on the market.
Most aftermarket cold air intakes feature a plastic plumbing and a one-time use air filter media. Sinister Diesel’s cold air intake is manufactured with mandrel bent aluminum for maximum strength, airflow, heat dissipation, and an oversized cotton air filter that is cleanable resulting in longer better performance. In addition to those features, unlike what can only be described as the industry standard, most kits come with rubber couplers, but Sinister uses a superior silicone based coupler for longevity.
Last but not least, what everyone obviously enjoys is the flash a part offers. There are many intakes that attempt to function and stand out, but really they aren’t doing either. With Sinister Diesel’s cold air intake, not only will you improve the performance of your engine, the piece looks appealing too. With a durable and clean look under the hood, this kit features a polished and powder coated finish in the beautiful Sinister blue and they are made readily available in-house in Sacramento, California.
With a ton of great features and an appealing look, there are no real downsides to upgrading your Ford pickup truck. This kit is an easy installation and completes a long list of features that all truck owners can appreciate. With this release, Sinister now offers intakes for 1999-2018 Power Strokes, as well as 1999-2017 Cummins and Duramax engines.
