S&S Diesel Motorsport, the common rail diesel injection specialists, have developed an affordable kit that can save owners of the 2011+ Ford Super Duty with the 6.7L Power Stroke engine a fortune in repairs.

The S&S 6.7L Ford Power Stroke CP4 Fail Safe Kit, or commonly called the “Disaster Prevention Kit,” does exactly what the nickname implies, it prevents the disastrous consequences of an inevitable CP4 pump failure from destroying the rest of a very expensive high-pressure fuel system.

CP4 high pressure pumps are the Achilles heel of the 6.7L Ford Power Stroke engine due to high failure rates, which commonly take out the entire very costly high-pressure system with it (injectors, rails, lines). When the CP4 fails, it sends debris into the rest of the system and requires a several thousand-dollar replacement of injectors, rails, lines, etc. The S&S Disaster Prevention Kit reroutes the pump bottom end flow back to the tank and filters and prevents the CP4 debris from getting to the rest of the high-pressure system.

With an MSRP of $360, the S&S Disaster Prevention Kit can’t keep the CP4 from failing, but is cheap insurance to save a very expensive set of injectors and rails/lines! This is also 50 state CARB compliant and requires no additional tuning or modifications after install.
