Xcalliber Performance Series Transmission: Affordable And Durable

Its clear that when you’re getting into the diesel performance category, your one scare is the driveline. Its the part that is taking most of the abuse, and usually the one that costs the most to have repaired—If you’re not doing it yourself. At Xcalliber Transmissions, they strive on building the most durable Allison Transmission parts available, and they’re pushing to be as affordable as it can be.

Xcalliber is a DEFEO Manufacturing brand that specializes it refurbishing Allison Transmissions as well as manufacturing heavy-duty parts for the Allisons. They have transmission builds ranging from stock power all the way up to 800-horsepower plus. So, if you’re a livestock hauler with a stock truck, a street demon that tears things up on the weekends, or a driver that spends the weekends at the sled pulls or drag strip, Xcalliber has an Allison for you.

Xcalliber Performance Series- 1000PK-RED-R

Xcalliber offers transmission kits and parts for the 2001 GM trucks all the way up to the 2016’s.

We’re going to dig into Xcalliber’s Red series Allison and go over the items that come in this kit. Firstly, each power level designated transmission is color coded. Red symbolizes up to 400-horsepower. Platinum or silver symbolizes 400-799-horsepower and black is code for 800-horsepower and up. As you can see we’re going to cover the red series Xcalliber Allison which will fall under the mildly upgraded GM trucks.

As it should, all of these transmissions are dyno tested at their facility to ensure proper functionality prior to shipping. As the consumer, that’s an absolute must. You don’t want to have issues with the transmission you just bought. This way, you’re guaranteed to have a perfectly fine-tuned transmission ready to install.

This version is for the LLY Duramax trucks and has been upgraded with a lot of the newer model products. These come equipped with updated LML style C3 and C4 molded pistons and return spring assemblies. Among these items are updated Hi-helix gear train with PTO provision, updated oil pump and front support for increased pressure, and all new external hardware and electronics.

A quick note for when your Xcalliber transmission shows up, it weighs 375-pounds. So, be sure and have an extra hand to help unload it.

The old out of date plates are updated with Borg Warner High-Energy plates, updated P1 Flange, C2 Hub, new thrust and ball bearings, and updated Garlock lined Teflon bushings.

Like any rebuild kit, the Xcalliber Performance Red Allison comes with a precision calibrated Xcalliuber Performance valve body with all new electronics, TransGo shift kit, and billet torque converter with billet cover. Down to both internal and external filters, these transmissions are fresh down to the bone and ready for anything you can throw at it.

For only $3.495.00, with your core, you can get your truck back on the road with a proven transmission filled with only the best parts on the market. If you’re having troubles with your Allison, be sure and contact Xcalliber today to fill your needs. For more information about Xcalliber, be sure and check out their website.
