Everyone Just Stay Cool: Flex-A-Lite’s Air Mover 1000 Track Fan

If you need a fan that will work great in the garage and at the race track, you’re in luck. If you’re just liking the breeze while changing injectors, trying to cool that engine down after a quarter-mile pass, or chilling down the intercooler before a hook with the sled, this fan can do it all. Flex-A-Lite‘s 1000 Air Mover is the future.

For the most part, we really needed a fan that could move some air after a pass down the dragstrip. The radiator, the intercooler, and the surface of the engine all hold heat after a pass, and we needed something that could keep the breeze going. Last weekend was the first attempt with the new Air Mover at Kil-Kare Raceway and it worked flawlessly.

With a fresh new engine, it is important to keep it cooled down between rounds.

After simply plugging up the fan to a generator, turning the power on, and we had air. These fans will turn straight up and down, lay flat, propped up, basically any configuration you want, it can do. For instance, if you’re wanting more of a fan to blow air on the transmission, this fan can be propped to hit that perfect angle you desire.

Doesn't matter how you turn it, the fan can work at any angle. Transmission, intercooler, radiator, shop floor, in the cab, literally anything.

Unlike other fans, these Air Movers are super lightweight and compact. It features an easy to pack handle and packs a 900 CFM punch of focused air allowing you to direct the air where you need it most. The 1000 only draws a very low, 2-amp power draw. They are designed to over-tax trailer circuits or a generator. All of this mixed with its multi-position design, this is a must have for racers.

Our engine bay was plenty hot after a pass but with this fan and a bit of water circulation, our truck was cooled off and ready for war again in under twenty minutes. When you get down into the quarterfinals or farther, the round become round robin and things start to heat up.

Also, the 1000 fans are manufactured with durable injection-molded plastic, the Flex-a-lite 1000 is a robust tool that will hold up to years of frequent use for the car enthusiast. If you need more than one of these units, the electric outlet placed on the housings allows you to daisy-chain multiple air movers together for even more air movement.

We are in love with this fan as it has certainly cooled things off between passes and made for a nice constant shop breeze.

Get your fan today and don’t get caught in the heat. For more information about Flex-A-Lite and everything, they can do for your truck, be sure and check out their website. Stay tuned as we continue to put this thing to the test in these hot summer months. What do you think about the Air Mover 1000? Let us know in the comments below.
