Calling All Truckers: Bully Dog BIG RIG Billet Turbos Now Available!

Bully Dog has been around the block. They have been into all corners of the aftermarket diesel performance market and now they’re dipping into something bigger. Figuratively and literally. Big Rigs. Introducing the all-new Bully Dog Big Rig Billet Turbos are now available for your over the road big trucks or anything powered by a big dog engine.

What engines? For right now, they’re listing Caterpillar and Detroit platforms ranging from different years and different configurations. For Caterpillar, the 3406B, 3406C, 3406E, C15, and C16 engines from 1989 to 2003 are supported. For Detroit, you’re looking at coverage for the Series 60 12.7-Liter (1993-2003) and 14.0-Liter (2001-2003) engines.

With a lighter aluminum wheel, you’re improving performance, reliability, and economy. Reducing turbo lag makes for quicker spool and faster spinning. This results in more horsepower and torque. Improving airflow makes for reduced engine temperatures which increases reliability. Mix all of these features together and you get improved efficiency and better fuel economy.

These turbochargers that Bully Dog offer are OEM replacements for trucks wanting 400-horsepower up to 750-horsepower depending on the model. For the Caterpillar engines, there are two stages of turbos. The Stage One (Part Number 56700) is a 78-MM compressor and a 1.32 A/R quick spool billet wheel unit capable of up to 650-horsepower.

The Stage Two (Part Number 56800) is the same 78-MM compressor but with a larger 1.45 aspect ratio which pushes its capabilities to a higher 750-horsepower.

The big Detroit engines are capable of up to 725-horsepower with their own 78-MM turbocharger with a 1.32 A/R. Like the others listed above, these chargers are also a quick spool billet wheel unit.
