Global Auto Salon Debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabi

Hopefully everyone has recovered and rejuvenated from all of the hype trailing SEMA 2019 because Riyadh Car Show is coming next week and is potentially the largest and most influential show of its kind. From Nov. 21-26 at the Janadriyah  Cultural and Heritage Festival grounds in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this show will be compiling some of the most well-known vehicles and industry celebrities in an epic attempt to cross all borders of car culture.

The international car market has been exponentially expanding over the past few decades and this show is designed to take advantage of that global trend by exposing brands to new and interested audiences in Saudi Arabia and across the globe.

The staple event during this week is the Global Auto Salon (GAS).

The salon will be featuring new developments in the aftermarket for display and for sale, industry experts and celebrities, as well as live demos from different exhibitors.

This is a great opportunity for brands seeking international success to find it. Many big-name brands even skipped SEMA entirely to prepare themselves for the Global Auto Salon. Head-liners include General Motors, Magnaflow, and Roush.

“Experience jaw-dropping demonstrations from exhibitors throughout the entire event.”

One of these live demos will be a special autocross event mimicking the Las Vegas Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational where 10 high-performance cars will face off on the track showcasing their power, braking, and handling and ultimately choosing one driver as the Champion of Riyadh.

These high-performance demos are designed to show and teach this unique and diverse audience what each vendor truly has to offer to an international aftermarket.

What celebrities are making appearances all the way in Saudi Arabia? Well, expect to see the Overhaulin’ trio Chris Jacobs, Adrienne Janic, and the mastermind Chip Foose.

Dave Kindig from Kindig-It Designs, Richard Rawlings from Fast N’ Loud, and Vaugn Gittin Jr. from Formula Drift are a few other big-name celebrities on the list.

Produced by Bonnier Events, GAS “will feature world-class hot rods, muscle cars, exotics, classic cars, trucks, sport compacts, race cars and other specialty vehicles on display.”

If you still yearn for more action, Worldwide Auctioneers will be auctioning off over 400 vehicles of all different origins.

There is going to be something auctioned off that suits both high-end connoisseurs and bargain-hunting consumers.

The auction will be featuring “one of a kind historics, numbers matching originals, fully customized builds, vintage and pre-war cars, American muscle, supercars, and of course cars from the world’s premier builders including Dave Kindig, Richard Rawlings, Ryan Friedlinghaus, Ring Brothers, Rick Dore, Classic Car Studio and many more.”

When you compile over 450 cars, 250 exhibitors, and 120 media organizations over a quarter million expected attendees, the Global Auto Salon at the first-ever Riyadh Car Show is looking to dramatically influence the auto aftermarket and the international car culture.
