Short And Stout: Street Diesel Performance-Built 6.7 Bronco Build

Building a truck to take to SEMA takes time. Not only does it take time, it takes money, hard work, and patience. The Street Diesel Performance crew purchased this 2019 Ford F-350 on September 10, 2019, and the SEMA Show started on November 5th. This project took six weeks and four days to complete and it has transformed into a futuristic Ford Bronco as if they were being released today.

This “Bronco” features a 6.7-Liter Power Stroke engine and a ten-speed automatic transmission and certainly won the cool award at the show. Although it doesn’t have the traditional short box, hard-top look of the original Bronco, this convertible style, long-bed configuration still looks great. Throughout the six weeks and change of work, the Bronco underwent a lot of cutting and fabrication for this final look.

For some reason, after looking at this truck, all I can think of is a mullet. Business in the front and party in the back.

Continuing on with the wow factor, this truck features 22-inch by 12-inch American Force Wheels, McGaughy’s latest suspension kit, 37-inch Fury Off-Road Tires, and a set of Fusion bumpers. The bed was modified from a stock one and was all painted up by the guys at Johnson Auto Body.

Can you imagine the feel of an old-school Bronco but with the power and torque of a late-model Power Stroke engine? This just screams summer night cruising with friends.

We hope there are more of these builds in the future. This gives us hope that maybe manufacturers will bring something like this back to life and keep the nostalgia wheels turning.
