ARP Introduces Head Stud Kit For Highly Boosted 6.7L Powerstrokes

New from ARP – the Head Stud Kit for Highly Boosted 6.7L Powerstroke. These studs centerless ground and then through-hardened for a 260,000 psi tensile strength. See more details below.

Official Release:

Diesel performance enthusiasts can now take the popular 6.7L Ford Powerstroke engines to new boost levels thanks to ARP introducing head studs made from Custom Age 625+ material—which is nominally rated at 260,000 psi tensile strength.

The special alloy is just one of the important factors that enable the studs to cope with extreme combustion pressures. Studs are centerless ground, then through-hardened in special vertical racks to assure total penetration and optimum ductility. Threads are rolled after heat-treat, which improves their fatigue life tenfold. And they’re made to stringent AS8879D specification to assure precise engagement. All manufacturing is done in-house at ARP’s California facilities to facilitate maximum quality control.

Carrying ARP part number 250-4302, the kit includes studs, parallel-ground washers and 12-point nuts—as well as a packet of ARP Ultra-Torque fastener lubricant. And, unlike OEM torque-to-yield bolts, ARP studs are designed to be re-used.

Features:

  • 260,000 psi tensile strength
  • Centerless ground then through-hardened in special vertical racks
  • Designed to be re-used
