Could We See A “Yellowstone” Trim For Upcoming Ram Trucks?

If you’re like me and watch the hit show “Yellowstone” on Paramount TV, you may notice that the screen is filled with Ram trucks. In fact, the show’s season four premiere just aired a few days ago and it looks like the Ram – Yellowstone relationship is still going strong. There are a few things that come to mind after seeing the season premiere.

#1- Did anyone catch the quote from John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, where he mentioned a ranch so big you can get their name on a truck”? We’ll touch base on this soon.

#2- With the show’s enormous popularity, and with Ram happily assisting in show promotion, could we see a “Yellowstone” package on an upcoming truck?

Although each of the trucks I see on the show don’t appear to be late-model, they are still shined up and glistening onscreen. Ram has assisted in promotion for quite a while. In fact, Ram sponsored the season four premiere with several commercials aimed directly around the show. Wouldn’t this be a perfect opportunity to drive more customers to your trucks? Wouldn’t this be a great way to push both the show and spice things up? What goes into adding a “package” to a lineup?

The quote I referred to above came from a scene where John Dutton talks about the King Ranch in Texas and the legacy of that ranch saying that they even got their logo stamped on a pickup truck. In such a Ram-heavy show, I thought this was interesting. As soon as I heard it, a light bulb went off. How neat would it be if they did their own package?

Obviously, he’s referring to the Ford trucks and their King Ranch trim package which debuted in 2001 on the F-150. Since then, that has resulted in the trim level being available in virtually everything. Since the show is merely a story, and the actual King Ranch is not, some of you may think this isn’t worthy of a trim package. For me, a fan of the show, I think it is.

This is obviously me just theorizing, but a collab between these two powerhouse operations could make for a boost in sales. However, it would require some kind of high-dollar licensing agreement between the two but this isn’t impossible. Who knows? I would like to point out that nothing here is official. Ram seems to love special editions, so it’s not a huge leap to assume a Yellowstone Ram could happen.

What Would A “Yellowstone” Ram Look Like?

In my opinion, it needs to be a diesel, but clearly, I’m biased. Realistically, it would probably come on all levels. The essence of a ranch’s work vehicle has luxury and tough all-in-one. You need a truck that could handle any abuse you have for day-to-day work, but you also want the luxurious add-ons so you can take your lady out for the evening.

One would assume it would feature a spray-in bed liner, all-terrain tires, multi-function tailgate, and the famous Yellowstone brand logo. Where?  For the exterior, probably on the doors, fenders, and maybe the tailgate. On the interior, more than likely home for the “Y” would be on the dash, glove box, etc.
