With endless driving capabilities, a trustworthy engine and drivetrain, and an armor system that protects you from virtually everything, the Terrydyne Gurkha LAPV is wicked cool.
LAPV stands for Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle and the “Terradyne Gurkha” is just that. A patrol vehicle you can take through zombie-filled streets and do as you wish. Or, you just have money and want something really, really cool. The purpose of the truck was for law enforcement use. Obviously. But, you can use it however you choose.
Under the hood is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke engine as the chassis is a 2017 Ford F-450. Although it is stock appearing under the hood, on the outside, it features a minimum B4 armor level rating, two fuel cells, a heavy weight winch, and a roof-mounted escape hatch. This thing screams try and stop me.
Although the outside looks rugged, sharp, and battle-ready, the inside is quite surprising. Featuring neatly-trimmed leather and extra “Terradyne Gurkha” branded items, it looks to be very comfortable. With only 15,000 miles on the clock, this four-wheel-drive machine is in excellent condition.
Featuring a long list of optional equipment including six-passenger seating, a full LED exterior lighting kit, a backlit center console, map lights, rear cargo tie-downs, mud flaps, six-ton jack, insulated walls, steel guards over the head and taillights, a full-size spare wheel mounted in the rear.
Also equipped are a primary 40-gallon fuel tank, a further armor upgrade, heated front seats, heated windshield, an upgraded Alpine audio system, battery charge system with auto-eject, an exterior and interior intercom, custom 80-gallon secondary fuel tank with auto transfer flow pump, and military window trim on all of the glass.
This example finished in Matte Granite Grey has been specified with Terradyne’s off-road package, which includes FOX Racing shocks, a WARN Industries 16.5ti winch with 16,500lb pull capacity, and 90 feet of wire rope, closed system winching components from Factor 55, front differential lock, and an on-board high-output air compressor.
Fitted as standard equipment on all Gurkha Civilian Edition builds, the 20-inch wheels have internal bead locks to safely allow for lower tire pressures to help increase traction. Other standard features include remote power door locks, a reverse camera, and rear proximity sensors.
