Nathan Wheeler’s “Crazyhorse” Super Duty Makes 1320Video Debut

For those of you who follow the streetcar racing scene, you’ve heard of 1320video. 1320’s videos have hundreds of thousands of views and when they give our diesels some love, I have to share. In a recent video, they uploaded a mini-movie from a “cash days” event in the Texas area. Twenty or thirty of the fastest street cars on the planet faced off in a night of exciting racing.

Having watched plenty of this content, I noticed some heavy hitters within the video knowing everyone that pulls up to run could win. I saw a fellow ODSS racer, Nathan Wheeler, pull up in “Crazyhorse” and knew this would be good. Wheeler faced a 388-ci-powered Ford Falcon first round with a monster turbo hanging off of the front.

Boost, Tire Smoke, And Fire

Being the first rip down the road, Wheeler played it safe and loaded up a conservative tune. Even with a conservative setting, Wheeler managed to burn all of the tires off of Crazyhorse as he pulled away for a round one victory. Because of a few run-ins with the law, the spot they were going to race was moved. After a day of waiting, the new location awaited.

In the next round, with only a few cars and trucks remaining, Wheeler was set to face “Beater Bomb”, a known street assassin. The 1320 crew even interviewed Wheeler just before the pass suggesting he “turn it up”. Naturally, he did. After an ear-tearing burnout, Wheeler’s Cummins-powered Ford was ready to light the candle.

Ready, Set, Go!

As the starter backed up, he hit the light signaling both drivers to go and it was nothing but RPM, smoke, and fire. With over 2,000-horsepower loaded up, Wheeler’s Ford poured smoke off of all four tires and a 2-foot flame out of the exhaust. Although it looked sweet, spinning isn’t winning, as they say. Because of the violent tire spin, the countersteering just wasn’t enough. Wheeler’s Ford nearly hit the other car, but luckily nobody was hurt.

In conclusion, we know that this particular truck is a dangerous one on the track. Running over 140-mph in the eighth-mile, this isn’t a truck you want to bet against. Stay tuned to our event coverage this year as Wheeler and his team will have this truck out competing even more at incoming races.
