Marketplace Mondays are going to be a new thing here at Diesel Army. It may be one or a few listings that we find, but to start things off, we’re going old school. We just found this listing for what seems to be a decent-shaped 1977 Ford diesel F-250 long bed, Super Cab two-wheel drive. What is so special about this? You guessed it. It’s been diesel-swapped.

The “Buy It Now” price is $18,500 which tells you that the market for used diesel trucks is still as high as ever. We’re unsure how hard it is to get your hands on a truck like this in this condition, but here it is. The seller has stated that this is one of the longest-running Cummins-powered swaps around. It was completed back in 1996 with a fresh 1992 model 5.9-liter Cummins engine and a 518A automatic transmission.

Per the seller, the engine has zero blowby and runs like a top. Dana 60 axle in the rear, Ford F-550 springs in the front with F-350 suspension in the rear, this Ford diesel truck is set up to go places. In fact, this long-bed unit was the “Crocodile Response Team” vehicle in the Florida Keys many years ago. The body isn’t in perfect condition as it has had rust and “gator dents” repaired throughout the years, but he’s made the best of it thus far.

As for other upgrades, they’ve upgraded to AutoMeter dash and gauge cluster, three new fuse boxes, fusible links delete, new exhaust, starter, and more. The air conditioning functions and blows cold, and while you’re in the comfort of the cool air, you can ride in the Ford high-back bucket seats. Lastly, this truck has been topped off with new tires front and rear.

For $18,500, you can have it. What do you think of this truck? Is this something you could see yourself using or fixing up as a show truck? Let us know in the comments below! For more industry news, event coverage, and truck features, stay tuned to Diesel Army.
