The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel is positioned between Laramie and Power Wagon, and offers off-road truck buyers an even wider selection with increased off-road performance and towing and payload capability. The Heavy Duty Rebel offers passengers a unique combination of high-tech capability, performance, and a great looking exterior.
The Ram 2500 Rebel has Power Wagon’s chassis structure and off-road mobility as a base, and the available 6.7-liter Cummins standard-output diesel engine delivers 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. What’s more, that powerband produces all that torque starting at 1,700 rpm. The 68RFE six-speed automatic transmission is standard with the diesel option.
The 2024 Ram Rebel HD offers three seating options, a 360-degree Surround View camera, and other upgrades.
Exterior styling is shared with the Power Wagon, but the Rebel features unique badging and the new functional sport hood. Not only does the Ram Heavy Duty Rebel feature a capable off-road suspension, rear limited-slip differential, 20-inch wheels (optional 18-inch wheels), and 33-inch off-road tires, skid plates are part of the package to protect the fuel tank and transfer case.
The coupe de gras for those purchasing a gas-fed rig is a behind-the-bumper 12,000-pound WARN Zeon-12 winch. Unfortunately, a winch is not part of the Cummins package as it interferes with the intercooler.
Ram Heavy Duty trucks already feature a suspension system that offers a comfortable ride and great handling, loaded or unloaded. The 2024 Ram 2500 Rebel retains the tried and true five-link coil found in previous generations. Rear airbags are also available. Maximum towing for the 2024 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel is 16,870 pounds and maximum payload is 3,140 pounds.
Inside, the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel offers three seating options, including a cloth bench or bucket seat, a Bristol leather bench or bucket seat, and a Natura Plus leather bucket seat. Rebel also features a 360-degree Surround View camera, which includes forward-view camera gridlines to help navigate obstacles.
