If you are the owner of a ’94 through ’97 OBS diesel, Strictly Diesel has a fuel system for you. The “OBS” Fuel Bowl Delete Regulated Return Kit is something your truck needs. This Power Stroke fuel system upgrade eliminates the factory mechanical fuel pump and filter bowl assemblies from the engine valley. It replaces them with larger-than-stock fuel lines to improve fuel flow to the injectors, and also provides a high-quality fuel pressure regulator to manage fuel system pressure.
For those of you doing modifying and adding high-pressure oil pumps, custom turbochargers, or other high-performance modifications, this kit also makes room in the engine valley. Upgrading to this kit along with an appropriate electric fuel pump (not included) and the necessary fuel filters will result in an engine that starts quicker and runs smoother. This kit will also support power upgrades, depending on what fuel pump and plumbing is also used.
Strictly Diesel also tells us this Power Stroke fuel system upgrade has CARB approval and is 50-state legal. Installing this kit will eliminate your stock fuel pump and engine valley fuel filter. However, this kit doesn’t include the required electric fuel pump or proper post-pump filter to complete the fuel system. That said, Strictly Diesel does have those other parts to help you complete your fuel system upgrade.
