The Ultimate Callout Challenge or also known as UCC, tests wild diesel truck builds across three brutal events in three days. Competitors drag race, hit the dyno, and pull a massive sled using the same vehicle. Securing a perfect score of 3,000 points takes serious mechanical endurance. Aiming for a flawless UCC pass, the Power Driven team prepared a modified diesel pickup for the invite-only triathlon. Their team actually spent six months prepping for the event.

Securing A Fast UCC Pass

After doing some testing, the team spotted some immediate mechanical problems. A snapped transmission input shaft forced the crew to install a replacement gearbox right in the pits. Taking the starting line later that afternoon, the driver ran a conservative five-second run on low boost. The crew made several nitrous adjustments before returning for a second attempt. Launching much harder on the sticky track, the heavy truck clicked off a four-second run at more than 150 mph.

Smashing The Dyno Record

Transitioning to the rollers required a totally different mechanical configuration. Technicians installed a specialized transmission built specifically for stationary pulls and bolted on massive nitrous solenoids. Before firing the engine, the crew double-checked the valve lash to verify the induction-hardened cylinder heads survived the dragstrip. Firing the truck up on the dyno, the driver applied heavy throttle pressure. The engine screamed past 5,000 rpm and generated an astonishing 3,620 horsepower.

Fighting Rules At The Sled Pull

Preparing for the dirt track meant lifting the entire chassis using custom jacks to roll new axles underneath the frame. Trouble arrived that evening when officials relayed a competitor complaint about an illegal hitch angle. The setup measured right on the 25-degree limit. Refusing to risk a disqualification penalty, fabricators grabbed their grinders and welding torches. The crew cut the heavy metal mount off completely and dropped the pivot point 1 inch to flatten the angle.

Taking The Ultimate Win

Hooking up to the heavy weight transfer box, the driver initiated a massive nitrous launch and shifted through the gears aggressively. The truck grabbed traction and hauled the machinery 355 feet down the dirt path. Logging another solid UCC pass gave the Power Driven crew the overall victory by a massive margin. Securing nearly 3,400 total points shattered previous event records completely.
