How Much Is Fuel In Your Area? Diesel Has Reached $6/Gal In Places

It has come to our attention that diesel has reached over $6.00 per gallon in some places. As I’m sure you know, this doesn’t come as a surprise, but this is seriously getting out of hand. Just this past weekend, we made a trip to an all-diesel drag racing event in central Indiana, and on our way there, we thought that filling Project TowBoat up for $163.00 was ridiculous.

One thing that comes to mind is the trucking or shipping companies. Like them or not, they bill their customers and get paid every 30, 60, or even 90 days. As the price of fuel increases, these companies are having to carry a pile of debt until they are paid. This isn’t a pity party for them, but that leads us to the next thing. Us.

Want to run the boat to the lake, take a trip out of town, or just fill the tractor up, things are getting out of control. So, we would like for you to comment down below as to what the price of fuel is in your area. We would like to have this information so that in the next year or so, we can come back and see how we’ve either progressed or how much worse it has gotten.

What are your thoughts on the prices of fuel hitting above $6.00? What is the cheapest you’ve seen it down to before? Let us know in the comments below. For more industry news, stay tuned here at Diesel Army.
