The National Hot Rod Diesel Association is continuing to grow more and more, every day. The schedule for the NHRDA crew is busy year round stretching all the way across the United States and even jumping into Canada.

Each year brings in extraordinarily competitive racing and sled pulling. With that, the points chase continues to get closer and closer with every event. What better way to finish it all off, but in the big state of Texas?

It's the World Finals, you never know what tricks people have up their sleeves. It's a competitive crew, they'll do whatever it takes to win.

What I like to call the all-star game of diesel performance, the World Finals will be hosted at the Texas Motorplex, in Ennis, Texas. This is no ordinary event put on by the NHRDA, this is by invite only. Drivers must have been competitive throughout the year at some point to get in.

September 29th and 30th, just outside of Dallas, the worlds fastest drivers will be blasting down the quarter-mile and dragging the sled at their chance to be crowned world champion.

Whether you like to see the trucks on the strip or in the dirt, it will all be there.

Points in both the sled pulling and drag racing are close enough that most drivers can’t afford to miss out on this event if they want the title. Amalee Mueller is behind Steve Durrant, by only 48 points. On the other side of the dirt, Nate Morgan leads Verlon Southwick, by only 50 points.

It’s going to be a day full of hole shot wins and as close as this racing is, these drivers are going to have to kill the tree and get out front early. Guys on the dirt better be on their A-game and checking the track conditions to make sure they can pull the sled the furthest.

To order your tickets and for more information on the 2017 World Finals, be sure and check out the NHRDA website.
