Ok, so everyone knows about the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, created to spread the word about ALS and raise money to help fight the disease (donations currently at 88.5 Million). I mean, hey, you can’t go on Facebook or Twitter of You Tube without seeing another person taking a bucket of ice to the head and nominating someone else to suffer next. Then there are all of those “ice bucket challenge epic fail videos”, which while they are funny can be a little ridiculous.
So, with that said we have begun to notice a trend beginning to pick up steam in the Ice Bucket Challenge. Diesel trucks from all walks of life are beginning to get involved. Here are some examples to make you smile and possibly give you some ideas on how to use your diesel truck or equipment to call out your buddies.
First, let’s take professional Canadian hockey player, P.K. Subban. He choose to use a diesel dump truck filled with more than 60 bags of ice to show his support and man up for the Ice Bucket Challenge. Now, was this a smart decision? We’re not sure but we are sure that the jock strap on the outside of the shorts wasn’t. Check it and make your own judgements.
Then, there is the cement truck mixer option. Now, this family chose to have 1200 gallons of ice cold water dumped on them from their company cement truck. Another interesting use of a diesel vehicle for this challenge.
Next, there is the Mossy Oak tractor version. They claim, they wanted to use a “real bucket”.
Finally, we found these two guys who turned their truck bed into an ice water pool and laid down and took the challenge.
So, we ask you…the members of our Diesel Army, show us how you use your truck in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Tag us in your posts and tell us all about it. Surely, we can top these guys right?
