What goes on behind the closed doors of a top-tier transmission builder? Cameron Pigott of EVERYTHANG DIESEL gave his viewers a rare, exclusive peek inside the RevMax Converters Facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, which shows the impressive in-house manufacturing capabilities of the performance transmission giant. It may be an old video from his friend, but this one is full of behind-the-scenes footage of the facility.
How the Tour Happened
The unique footage came about through a simple phone call. While ordering parts, Cameron asked Tom at RevMax about filming the facility. Tom’s response was surprisingly open: send the camera, and he’d film whatever was needed. Cameron said, “I think it’s cool to be able to see the companies you work with, see how they work in the day-to-day operation and stuff like that.” The resulting video, filmed over a year ago, provides a complete tour of RevMax’s facility. Cameron highlighted, “It just goes to show that there are companies out there that make everything in-house that make everything in America. RevMax is one of them.”
Inside the RevMax Converters Facility
The walk-through covered every aspect of the RevMax operation. Starting in the showroom displaying finished products and cutaways, the tour moved through the offices into the production areas. Viewers got to see the dedicated valve body build area, complete with an in-house valve body dyno for testing. The tour continued through the transmission and torque converter assembly areas, showcasing the balancing and pressure-checking equipment. An important portion highlighted the extensive machining department, featuring manual lathes and a large CNC area where RevMax manufactures its own billet components, like channel plates and shafts, from raw stock.
Why RevMax? Quality And R&D
Cameron’s friend, Tom, strongly endorsed RevMax throughout the video, praising their dedication. He explained, “What you’re getting and paying for is years of research and development and people who love the industry who love the game.” He stressed that RevMax continuously improves its designs, unlike companies that rest on their laurels. Throughout the video, Tom pointed out RevMax’s important role as a parts supplier, noting that even transmissions from other builders often contain RevMax components because “nine times out of 10 their trans bills include RevMax Parts.”
One-of-a-Kind Experience
This unprecedented walk-through offered a valuable look at what makes RevMax a leader in the performance transmission world. Seeing the extensive in-house capabilities, from CNC machining to dyno testing, reinforces the company’s reputation for quality and engineering. The video’s final message was clear: for anyone considering a transmission build, especially for demanding diesel applications, the proof of RevMax’s expertise is evident right there on their shop floor.
