YouTube’s Greg Alberalla Trusts AMSOIL Products For His Ram Trucks

While out at the Ultimate Callout Challenge, I made my way through the city size vendor row, and within that were our friends over at AMSOIL. AMSOIL was very present at this event as they were a title sponsor overall, they were head of the Show-N-Shine event, and had sponsored guests in their booth throughout the weekend for us to meet.

One of these guests was Greg Alberalla. Alberalla’s YouTube channel has generated thousands of views over the last few years and he’s managed to build up a subscriber list reaching over 233,000 people. With that being said, AMSOIL and “Greg A” have built a great relationship over time and that has created opportunities like this one.

The Booth Visit

Alberalla has plenty of project vehicles on his channel and even though they all use AMSOIL products, one of the most popular builds in his fleet was on display at their booth for UCC ’21. “The Second Gen” has been going through a transformation for a year and change and it has turned into one of the prettiest and most popular builds within the diesel space.

Like most of his trucks, the truck is black in color and features nothing but goodies on the outside and under the hood. This 2002 single cab, long bed Ram has been completely repainted since its purchase. Between him and his friend Mark, this truck got recolored to match the rest of the fleet. As you can tell, they’ve done an incredible job because the pictures really don’t do it justice.

Equipped with a 5.9-Liter Cummins engine, a standard output VP44 injection pump hangs off of the side along with a Mishimoto radiator, Banks intake manifold, and a pair of compound turbos. The compound turbo kit is plumbed with an Evil Fab piping kit and features an S475 atmospheric turbo and a Fleece Performance Cheetah turbo on the Steed Speed manifold.

Moving on, we’re looking at one of the first things you notice about this truck and that is the wheels and tires. This truck has been modified to sit lower in the back so it will match the front and the wheels and tires have enough offset to offer a rugged more aggressive look. This wheel combination is a 22-inch by 12-inch Specialty Forged wheel wrapped in the newest version of the Nitto 420 V tire. Measuring out to 295/30R22, there isn’t much meat on the bones here.

What Does He Think?

We caught up with Alberalla after the show and you can tell that he’s proud to have such a good team member along within the fleet. “It has been a little over a year now since we’ve teamed up with the guys at AMSOIL. They are involved with every truck within our fleet and our partnership has been outstanding,” he said. “The team at AMSOIL has been awesome to work with from getting all different types of fluids and additives quickly, to answer any technical questions I have.”

DA- With a fleet that big, you must trust the products right? You’ve got all of these investments, what products do you use and why?

GA- “The thing I love the most about working with AMSOIL and using their products is simply the peace of mind they offer. I know when I use these products, I am getting reliable and dependable stuff with anything they produce. I have 100-percent faith in whatever I am using from them. I’m wanting longevity out of my trucks and that is why I choose AMSOIL. I use all of their oils and additives in everything from daily driven trucks to the expensive race engines with complete faith that they are protecting everything.”

DA- When it comes to the second-gen, what products of theirs do you use?
GA- “After our partnership started, I knew right off the hit I wanted to use their oil. It’s what I’ve always used in everything anyway and now even more so. The truck that was displayed in their booth, my second-gen, uses their 15W-40 Diesel Engine Oil, Manual Transmission Oil, 75-90 gear oil in the differentials, ATF for the transfer case, and also their All-In-One fuel additive. I greatly appreciate this partnership and look forward to continuing this relationship.”

When talking with AMSOIL’s Marketing Specialist, Carli Amatuzio, about their relationship with Greg and his channel, they were excited to talk about it. “We’ve been partnering with Greg since March of 2020 and we’ve really enjoyed working with him this past year,” Amatuzio said. “He’s super authentic and knowledgeable and is a real-life user and lover of AMSOIL, so he’s been a great advocate for us in the field of this very dynamic market—a market that is a very important one for us at AMSOIL.”
