Every day we run into examples of the awesomeness of diesels across the world. Today, we found just one more example of this principle. We came across this video shot at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado. In the quarter mile heads up drag race, this Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel approaches the line to face off with the 2012 Nissan GTR.
Now, some of you might be thinking, how can this be a fair pairing? Are they going to be bracket racing? The answer to your question is nope. They are running heads up. As they stage, the excitement begins to build and build. Then the tree counts down and it’s time to run.
Even though the Ram gets spanked at the line. Clearly, the Ram was preoccupied or something. For all we know could have been a perfect time to take a “selfie”. Then the Ram driver finally wakes up and gets his foot off the brake pedal, he is finally off. The race is neck in neck for most of the run until the end. The Ram pulls ahead and reminds the GTR what turbo diesel power actually looks like.
It’s almost as if he is saying, ” isn’t that cute, the little car wants to play with the big truck”. All in all the outcome is that the GTR runs a 117.19 and the Ram runs a 111.66. And that’s how you do it folks. Let this be a lesson to you in the stands and in your “cute little cars”. You just never know what might be hiding underneath the hood.
