As winter begins to roll in to many parts of the country, pulling season starts to wind down. While some are grateful for the break so they can work on the rigs and prepare for next year, some wish there were more events to have fun at. Well, we found a great event coming up that we wanted to make sure you knew about. The city of Pleasanton, TX , known as the birthplace of the cowboy, is hosting the 49th Annual Cowboy Homecoming. Now, this is a weekend event with something for everyone.
It stats on Friday October 24 with live music, Scott Wiggins, and Eddy Raven and bull riding. All the activities start at 6:30pm. Then the fun continues on Saturday with the Texas Truck and Tractor Pulling Association pull starting at 2pm, followed by bull riding at 6:30pm and then the live music starts with Wade Bowen at 9:30pm and Kevin Fowler at 11:30pm. But, one of the most exciting parts is the IBCA cook off that will be taking place all day.
While the above mentioned events are the main attraction, there will also be alternatives for those who want to experience it all. There will be a Texas Hold’em Tournament, Goat Roping, Chicken Roping, South Texas Gunslingers, Cow Patty Bingo, Washer Tournament, along with a parade and carnival for the kids.
This is truly one weekend event with something for everyone in your family regardless of their age. Be sure you add it to your calendar and check it out.
