Our lives are constantly changing. What we do today, may be something very different than we did 3 or 5 years ago and yet still may be different than what we will do in the next few years. This constant change sometimes means we have a truck that fits what we used to like and do, but may not necessarly work for what we like today.
Well, if you find yourself having a 2 wheel drive truck, but really like the looks for a 4 wheel drive truck or need more ground clearance, there is a solution. Maxtrac Suspensions, recently, released a new lift kit that takes your stock 2 wheel drive truck and lifts it 6 inches.
How do they do that?
Well, it all starts with the spindles. The 6” lift kit comes with 3.5” lift spindles. These spindles are made out of ductile iron (meaning they don’t crack as easy as non-ductile or brittle steel). Then a set of 3” lift coils are added to give the front end the lift. In the back, a set of 2.5” blocks are added to get the truck to sit level.
For shocks, the kit uses Maxtrac Suspension’s own twin tube shocks for superior ride comfort. The kit includes the longer DOT-approved steel braided brake lines, u-bolts and all hardware needed for the installation.
As far as tires, your 2 wheel drive truck will be able to clear 35” tires!
