aFe Power announces the release of the Momentum HD air intake system for the 2001- 04 GM Silverado/Sierra V8-6.6L (td) LB7 , P/N: 51-74001 (Pro Dry S), P/N: 54-74001(Pro 5R) , P/N: 75- 74001 ( Pro-GUARD 7) and P/N: 50-74001( Pro 10R).
In recent testing, the Momentum HD air intake system outflowed the factory intake by 32% and produced 24 additional horsepower and 44 lbs. x ft. torque. The Momentum HD sealed air intake system is designed using the most up-to-date engineering tools and techniques to provide you with the perfect blend of power and protection. From the one-piece sealed housing to the massive air filter and premium hardware, we spared no expense to give you the best intake on the market. The smooth one-piece sealed housing with auxiliary air scoop is used to eliminate the use of multiple-piece housings and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A urethane plug is also included for those cold weather applications where you want to block the auxiliary air scoop. A large, stainless steel plate is used for an aggressive style.
The Momentum HD intake system comes in four types of filter media including the Pro DRY S performance 360 degree radial flow air filter with three-layers of progressive synthetic media providing 99.2% cumulative efficiency. The Pro 5R performance radial flow air filter with five layers of progressive cotton gauze oiled media providing 98.6% cumulative efficiency and maximum flow. The Pro- GUARD 7 air filter is designed with five-layers of progressive cotton media and two more layers of progressive synthetic media providing 99.7% cumulative efficiency for maximum filtration. The Pro 10 R filter is designed around a massive 1,000 cfm 360 degree performance air filter with 10-layers of progressive cotton gauze oiled media providing 99.59% cumulative efficiency (independently tested).
This System uses a C.A.D designed, Dyno-tuned, rotational mold intake tube to achieve maximum power gains. Premium stainless steel T-bolt clamps are used to securely mount the high flow air filter to the one- piece airbox. Momentum HD intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.
