AP0100_AP0111_Glamour copyIt is no secret that the OEM’s have some rather sophisticated diagnostic tools. Unfortunately these tools are typically priced at an unreasonable point for most shops, but that’s all beginning to change. According to Alliant Power, “As vehicle technology continues to increase, OEM diagnostic capabilities are imperative for proper diagnostics and ultimately the repair facility’s reputation to fix vehicles right the first time.”

Tough Book
The Panasonic CF-19 convertible Toughbook is the standard computer supplied in Alliant’s kit. Customers can upgrade to the FZ-G1 Toughpad.

Alliant Power is now offering these OEM tools in 12 variations to accommodate the different needs of shop owners. The packages will include the option of two computer units, and these fully rugged computers include the Panasonic CF-19 convertible Toughbook or as an upgrade, the FZ-G1 Toughpad.

Included with the hardware will be the annual software licenses to support all the diagnostic programs. Equipped with a custom three partitioned, solid state hard drive, either of these computer options will be able to tolerate shop life. If you have an existing OEM platform with diagnostic capabilities don’t feel you need to re-invest and start over. Alliant will also offer annual renewals for customers with the tools already in service at their shop.
