After last years dirt drag event, BD Diesel Performance couldn’t afford not to have this event again. The second annual BD Dirt Drag event invaded the Chilliwack fair once again for a show that guaranteed to not disappoint. Drivers from all over the eastern edge of Canada made the trip again as well as newcomers from out of town.
This was the 146th annual fair here in Chilliwack and the fair board was pleased to know that this event would be returning. The fans filled the stands and the edges of the track to get their diesel performance fix for the weekend.

After last year, the only complaint was the shut down distance. Well, BD took that into consideration and did us all a favor. They started the track sooner allowing all of the drivers to have a ton of room to get their tanks slowed town. Once again, with 300 feet of dirt, it was time to separate the boys from the men.
Work Stock: Stock appearing turbocharger, DOT tires, no injectables, rear exit exhaust, and OEM bodies were permitted.
Super Single: Single turbochargers only, no size limitations, no injectables, and mandatory turbo bolts for hood stack equipped trucks.
Open Unlimited: Any vehicle, no turbo limitations, any injectables, added weight must be secure, and turbo bolts for hood stacked equipped trucks.
With the given conditions with the rain, the track times were very consistent in Super Single and Work Stock classes. So, what BD did was combine the two which made for fair and close racing. Work Stock/ Super Single class win was brought home by Rob Getz.

In the Unlimited/Open Class, it was Rob Nehring who topped the podium at the end of the day. Like most of the racers, Nehring’s truck was full of BD Diesel goodies as well including a BD Super B SPecial turbocharger, exhaust manifold, and heavy-duty intercooler.

We are unbelievably lucky that BD Diesel Performance had us out at their event and spend the week with the entire crew. We can’t wait for the following years of this event, because the interest is spreading like wildfire. If the turnouts keep getting larger, we’re going to have to move this to a larger venue.
