Stainless Diesel in an all-new TH400 style driveline was making some decent hits out here and look to have something great cooking for the future.
Most of us have been in Terre Haute, Indiana for a few days, but for those of you who haven’t been in town, you’ve missed a lot. Here at the 2018Â Scheid Diesel Extravaganza, we have crowed winners in sled pulling and drag racing and today, on the last day of the show, the sled pulling is complete and we only have to crown our final drag racing winners with final eliminations.
Maverick Diesel's Paul Cato and Josh Scrugg's squared off in the first round of Outlaw 5.90 Index, but Cato's truck was on a pass and ended up breaking out of the index with a 5.87 pass.
In the Pro Mod class, Larson Miller, the number one qualifier, defeated Steve Royalty in the final round which is his first win in this new build backed by Hot Shot’s Secret and many other great companies. Larson ran a 4.76 at 154 MPH to Royalty’s 5.45 at 122 MPH.

It was wheels up on a Sunday afternoon for the Save The Rack’s crew. The Firepunk Diesel crew was getting this truck down the track and tires crinkling.
In Pro Dragster, Wade Moody in the Flo~Pro Exhaust dragster defeated Jared Jones in the Scheid Diesel dragster. As much as Jones wanted to win at his main sponsor’s event, Moody’s 4.22 at 176 MPH was too much for his 4.68 at 144 MPH.

On their way to Florida, the guys from Industrial stopped in at this event and did pretty damn good. A runner-up in the Pro Street class is not something to be ashamed of.
All the way from Utah, Jared Delekta in the Industrial Injection Cummins-powered Silverado, made his way to the finals to compete against the always tough Dustin Jackson. Jackson sat nicely in the number one qualifying position and also went on to defeat Delekta in the final. Delekta’s 6.44 pass wasn’t enough for the Lightning’s 5.20 at 136 MPH.
In a battle of the second-generation Dodge Ram’s, it was Dallas Wade and Rick Fox in the final round of the Outlaw 5.90 Index class. From a distance, it looked as if Wade got the holeshot from the start, but Fox’s 5.97 at 109 MPH was enough to get back around Wade for the win at the end of the day. Fox’s truck continues to impress heading into the last half of the season.
In the stacked 6.70 Index class, we are proud to say that the DieselArmy project truck, DeadSpool landed itself in the winner’s circle. My better reaction time over Lucas Cartwright was enough to get ourselves in position to take home a trophy and a great spot in the Outlaw Diesel Super Series points championship.

Taylor Overcash, although he had some problems, still managed to get some damn good sixty foot times from what we saw.
In the always packed 7.70 Index class, it was Landon Miller defeated Ryan Riddle in the final round. Miller’s 7.77 was a slower but winning pass over Riddle’s 7.72. In the E.T Sportsman class, Landon Miller, after just winning the 7.70 final, circled back, came right back up to the starting line to race Brandon Hurlock in the final round where Miller went on to win as well.

Dallas Wade which is normally an NHRA advocate tried his luck in some ODSS racing and it paid off for a runner up in the extremely tough class.
Finally, after all of the chaos all weekend long, the crappy weather for the majority of the event, we can close this out here in Indiana. This event never disappoints and this year was no exception. We can not wait to come back next year and see more badass action from the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza and also put our rig into the winner’s circle once more.
