If you have an extra $240,000 lying around, here is your opportunity to own a 65L V16. King of E Business is selling this Mitsubishi S16R MPTK for a bargain price. While we are not completely sure if it will fit in your truck…we are sure that someone out there can figure out a way to make it. Just in case you are thinking about it and need some basic measurements to get you started, here you go:
- 115.4 inches long
- 59.5 inches wide
- 77.2 inches tall
Now we have seen a 78 liter V18 Cummins put into a Mini. Someone should be able to put this much smaller 65L into their truck.
Think about the enormous benefits, this 7,200 pound engine has. It produces a whopping 1,850 horsepower and roughly 3,200 pound feet of torque. That is plenty to get any load up any hill. It has an operational range from 600 rpms at idle up to a maximum of 2,100 rpms. That is plenty of range for some serious towing or around town cruising.
Now if you are thinking about custom fabricating your intake, you will need to make sure it can flow up to 5,155 CFM. So, we are pretty sure that your 4” inlet won’t work. On the exhaust side of the equation, the system only needs to be able to handle a measly 13,594 CFM. How does a dual 8″ exhaust system sound? Pretty loud, that should get some attention when driving down the road, that is assuming they missed this engine in the truck.
Check out the rest of the specs here. They are pretty impressive when you consider that this engine is meant to run at full tilt for hours on end. Engines like these are true work horses.
