With the popularity of bio-diesel over the years increasing, here is an opportunity to possibly make it a business!
This eBay seller is offering a free standing blending station that is able to blend B20, B50 and even B99. How is this possible? Well, there are two above ground tanks that are contained within the walls of the unit. One is a 1,000 gallon bio-diesel tank and the other is a 1,000 gallon regular diesel tank. Then the pump is pre-programed to mix the appropriate amounts of each right there at the station.
So, you could actually offer different blends of diesel to people or even use on your own farm if you wanted. This is a pretty cool little station and meets all of the safety regulations. The tanks are Firegaurd UL approved, they have venting and emergency releases. The tanks, also, have lockable spill boxes, gauges and overfill protection. Heck, the tanks even have their own heater to prevent gelling.
The pump itself is like a standard pump. It can take credit cards, debit cards and fleet cards. There is an auto shut off and the hose features the breakaway connection just in case someone forgets to remove the nozzle.
The unit itself is manufactured by American Fuel Blending Systems out of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. They have some interesting information on their site about the benefits of owing one of these stations.
