Finally! The event that everyone has been waiting for is finally here. The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza will be held on August 24th through the 26th at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds in Terre Haute, Indiana. No event celebrates the diesel truck quite like the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza and you can expect three days of non-stop diesel action.

This event started in 1997 meaning this is the 22nd anniversary of the prestigious show. You can expect thousands of other spectators and thousands of trucks making their way in and out of the fairgrounds throughout the weekend. No matter which way you celebrate diesel, the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza has a little bit for every enthusiast.

Each day is filled with multiple session of action including a Show-N-Shine competition, Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Truck and Tractor Pulls, Outlaw Diesel Super Series Drag Racing, Dyno Competition, and a vendor row that is packed tight with new products and experts distributing information and giveaways all weekend.

Prizes and prize money will be awarded to the highest horsepower for Dodge, Chevrolet, GMC, and Ford trucks.

We’re expecting to see more than 15,000 people in this three-day event invading the fairgrounds and you aren’t going to want to miss it. You should, if you haven’t already, be booking your hotels or if Scheid offers onsite camping but water and electric hookups are limited to first come first serve.

Friday and Saturday Include: Show-N-Shine Contest (presented by Purdue Diesel Club), Manufacture Midway, Dyno Contest, the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League 2.6 Truck Pull qualifications start at 11AM, Outlaw Diesel Super Series Drag Racing, Saturday Kiddie Pedal Pull (presented by Pullers For Christ), with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Truck & Tractor Pull Each Evening!

Sunday Includes: Church Service by Pullers For Christ, Scheid Diesel Parts & Apparel Departments, and non-stop Outlaw Diesel Super Series drag racing excitement.

As usual, you can expect to Jared “J-Rod” Jones in the Scheid Diesel dragster blaze down the eighth-mile dragstrip in under five seconds. If you have what it takes, partake in either the E.T Sportsman, 7.70 index, 6.70 index, 5.90 index, Pro Street, Pro Mod, or Pro Dragster classes.
