As most of you know, the wedding day is everything to women. It’s about them being in the spotlight, surrounded by all their closest friends and family with all eyes on her. Not that there is anything wrong with giving the lady the spotlight on the biggest day of her life, but a groom’s cake gives guys the opportunity to represent some masculinity on the big day. I was fortunate enough to get in on the excitement on my wedding day and received the greatest groom’s wedding cake ever made.
Everything that could have been made with icing, was made with icing. To me, this was the cake of the year. The cake was equipped with Rice Krispies Nitto 420S tires, Anthem Off-Road wheels, and Chiclets branded cab lights. The decals were made of icing as well, and painted on with edible ink; BD Diesel Performance, ARP, NHRDA, and PPE decals were placed exactly where they are on the actual truck.
For those of you who are in the planning stages of your wedding, keep this in mind. If you’re as passionate about your truck as I am and have truly found the right one maybe your truck can end up on top of your wedding cake too!
