Superchips‘ Flashpaq has gone through many revisions and modifications to make sure it fits all of the big diesel manufacturers. As of a moment ago, Superchips let us know that they have once again stretched its support out even more now offering the Flashpaq for 2017 to 2019 (L5P) GM Duramax trucks.

“2017-2019 GM Diesel tuning for Silverado HD and Sierra HD is finally here with the all-new Flashpaq 2847-DS. Available for L5P Duramax engines. Our calibrations team spent a lot of time perfecting our tunes to give customers everything they’ve come to expect from a Superchips device. By adjusting torque outputs at lower pedal inputs, they’ll experience better throttle response while rail pressure and injection timing tweaks offer better power and torque throughout the RPM range.”

ECM Send-In
This device includes their ‘ECM Send-In’ process, which will require the removal of the truck’s factory ECM to be shipped to Superchips for unlocking. Once their specialists create the internal ECM modifications, it will be returned for re-installation, where the truck can then be tuned with their Flashpaq 2847-DS. The purchase of the Flashpaq 2847-DS includes the cost of the ECM Unlock and Next Day Air return shipping of the ECM. Consumers should expect a 24-48hr turn around time, limiting the trucks down time to as little as three days. Superchips’ ECM modifications are safe, reliable, and compatible with GM dealer tools and flashes.
Something they’ve added this go ’round is their “Keep Drive Modes” feature. This allows the device to remember the last driver’s settings. This remembers exhaust braking, tow-haul mode, grade braking, etc. What does this mean for you? This means no more manually turning those features on every time you start the truck.
The device will just pick up right where you left it. The Flashpaq also offers end users the ability to adjust the throttle sensitivity. Throttle sensitivity boosters are really booming right now so the fact that Superchips has found a way to boost performance while all being able to make throttle adjustments is very cool.
Other features include manual DPF regenerations, transmission relearns, etc. For more information about Superchips and the rest of their product lineup, head over to their website here.
