Fleece Performance is one of the industry’s leading manufacturers of aftermarket diesel performance products. They have been known for their innovation, their quality of parts, and their outstanding service since 2008. Years later, Fleece now has their own line of Cheetah turbochargers, injection pumps, and lift pumps, and they continue to furthermore push the limits of diesel performance technology.
Their popular line of PowerFlo lift pumps have been a hit, and now, for all of you LML Duramax owners, you’re in luck. Hot off the press this week, the line of in-tank LML PowerFlo lift pumps are on the shelves and ready to take over for your Duramax. We caught up with Nathan Snyder of Fleece Performance to get the full story on these new pumps.
“The PowerFlo lift pump is the latest OEM replacement performance lift pump from the experts here at Fleece Performance. This is the only in-tank lift pump capable of support up to 800-horsepower,” said Snyder. “The LML, when delivered from the factory, relies on vacuum from the CP4 to draw fuel from the tank. This puts extra stress on the injection pump and can lead to premature failure.”
The PowerFlo lift pump, unlike the OEM unit, provides positive fuel pressure to the CP4 injection pump which decreases the strain on it and will support up to 800-horsepower. Instead of the exterior-mounted pumps, these PowerFlo pumps are in-tank, drop-in replacements. PowerFlo’s retains the factory, factory fuel lines, and installs in less than half the time of other high-flow lift pumps.
More Is Better
Fleece wanted to create something that would surpass OEM expectations while still obtaining the factory reliability. One of the main features of this PowerFlo pump is configured with not one, but two, gerotor pumps. With two gerotor pumps, you’re now increasing flow capacity and extending your reliability. Not only does this support gobs of power, but it will also function with dual CP3 configurations, too.
It seems pretty clear if you’re in the market for an LML Duramax or already have one, you can rest knowing that you have a lift pump option that will suffice for a stock daily driven truck all the way up to a hopped-up 800-horsepower machine.
