Do you find yourself behind a welding helmet laying down beads for hours on end? Or perhaps you are the lucky guy who finds himself in odd positions for extended periods of time trying to weld behind or around something. Either way, Heatshield Products has an incredible Welding Pillow designed to reduce strain and help with fatigue.
Now, don’t think of this as a big fluffy pillow that you sleep on every night. This is a durable rugged pillow designed for the work environment. This pillow can be used to prop your head up or be placed under your knees, slide it where ever you need to soften the surface. The Pillow has an outer layout made out of HP Weld Mat. HP Weld mat is resistant to abrasions, impervious to liquids and are designed for a lot of wear and tear for long life. In addition, because the HP Weld Mat is designed for welding, it will protect against metal splashes, flames, sparks and ultraviolet radiation.
The inner layout of the Welding Pillow is filled with a nonflammable fiberglass insulation. While not as fluffy as your down pillow, these are soft and durable. Another advantage of using this type of material is it won’t create the huge crater in the middle from you head (or possibly knees in this case) like a normal pillow will.
These are great for outdoor and indoor use. Many pipe line welders fine these are the “must” haves once they use them a few times. They are offered in three sizes; 10″x10″, 12″x18″, and 24″x36″ and all of them are 3″ tall.
By propping your head up or easing the pressure off of your knees, you body won’t be straining so hard or tiring as quickly. By reducing fatigue your weld quality will stay more consistent longer and the welds themselves will improve because you can focus on what you are doing.
