Memorial Day Celebrations!

Diesel performance shops all over the country will be holding open houses, customer appreciation days and doing dyno events over this holiday weekend. Events like these can be at your local shop, like what Diesel Army attended on Saturday, here at Diesel Dynamics LLC or they can be at major international manufacturers like what BD Diesel Performance held Saturday.

These celebrations can be a great opportunity for you to score some free stuff, but are, also, a great time to you to get out and meet your local diesel enthusiasts. Unlike an event where half the people who are attending are trying to get their vehicles race prepped or working on prepping a race truck, these events will usually have the shop and maybe one or two additional exhibitors working. Everyone else is there to hang out, swap stories and watch some of the dyno action going on.

While we were at Diesel Dynamics in Joshua Texas, we were able to see quite a few customer trucks, meet some new people and watch a few trucks roll the dyno. The overall mood of the event was lighthearted and the people there were there to have fun. No egos, no I’m better than you type of feeling, just good old fashion appreciation for the hobby.

Diesel Dynamics’ owner Crede and Misty Young were gracious hosts and worked really hard to make sure everyone was having a good time. While people where there, they could sign up for a raffle. Prizes included a Yeti cooler, Flo~Pro exhaust and some Diesel Dynamics attire.

All and all, it was a lot of fun to attend. More people should take these opportunities to meet and hang out with their local gear heads. Whether that be shop owners, manufacturers, or your enthusiast brethren, this three day weekend is a great opportunity to do something fun that probably won’t cost you much! Who knows, you might even win something.
