As we ring in a new year, there is no arguing the potential for significant changes to our favorite trucks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the new, upcoming 2023 RAM trucks will feature anything spectacular. However, the rearview mirrors might be getting an update. This is a long-overdue change, as one thing that RAM trucks are known for, is the “big-eared” look of needing to flip up the mirrors to use the convex portion.
While some people are okay with that, for the most part, many are not. That said, we wonder how everyone will feel about this change moving forward. Per Mopar Insiders, their covert photographers have found some new RAMS lurking out and about. Their photos are of a 2023 RAM 3500 Crew Cab Big Horn 4 x 2. This confirms that not all of the new RAM trucks will feature the sport performance hood design. However, this does confirm the new mirrors will be on all models.
The new mirrors will reportedly power extend and they will be integrated into the memory seat controls. The new design will also include LED turn signals, puddle lights, electronic control glass, temperature sensors, heated main and spotter glass, blind-spot indicator, rear and front utility lights, a 360-degree camera, and a tow camera. All things we’ve seen in other manufacturers, so RAM is here, they’re just late to the party on some upgrades.

Not only do the mirrors stand out among changes, but the legendary Cummins badge is also covered. Spy photos in earlier years weren’t the case, so why is it covered? Does this mean there is a change to the badge we all know and love?
We can’t wait for the full reveal from RAM in the upcoming months. We are excited to see what else is eventually uncovered and what else will project them further into Detroit’s truck war. For more industry news, stay tuned to DieselArmy.com.
