It’s been 22-years since the guys and gals over at Scheid Diesel Service Co. was involved with this event and what a legendary event for our industry it has been. Even after 22-years, their event in Terre Haute, Indiana still packs the stands with thousands and offers drag racing, sled pulling, dyno competitions, and enormous truck shows full of beautiful builds.

It’s that time of year and we’re headed to Indiana again. The 2019 Scheid Diesel Extravaganza will be held on August 23rd through the 24th at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds in Terre Haute. This event started back in 1997 as a TDR Rally in Effingham, Illinois. Due to the tremendous turnout, the TDR Rally evolved into what it is today and moved to Indiana in 2000, the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza, or better known as SDX.

Two sleds, hundreds of trucks, and track just waiting for action. You don’t want to miss this.

This event is like no other and brings an unbelievable attendance. In fact, In just two days, the Wabash Fairgrounds are expected to see more than 15,000 people. Now, with it being a two day event versus three, gives you more of an action packed weekend experience.

The Show-N-Shine is presented by Purdue University Diesel Club, and if 2019 is anything like past years, it will be insanity. You can spend a good portion of your day cruising through the truck show to see builds you have been following online, secret builds that have been in progress, or even show off your own truck. There are going to be prizes given out for the winners and you don’t want to miss out.

Sled Pulling will be nonstop as per usual with qualifying starting at 11:00 AM. The sled pulling action will be put on by none other than the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League where both trucks and tractors of all shapes and sizes will battle it out while being televised on MavTv. Don’t miss out on seeing a filming of your favorite trucks and tractors.

Edge Products has stepped up to sponsor this weekends dyno competition. See trucks all day hitting the rollers shooting for that big horsepower and torque number. Or, if you’re interested, you can, too, hit the rollers to see what your truck is capable of. Of course, the biggest power numbers will be rewarded with prizes including some goodies from Edge Products.

Vendor Midway will be absolutely stacked from end to end with the industry’s biggest companies showcasing their newest parts up for grabs. As you’re walking around the dyno and Show-N-Shine, you can swing down the midway where you can pick up some of the coolest swag in the industry.

There will be action both Friday and Saturday over at the dragstrip on the opposite side of the property. The Outlaw Diesel Super Series once again invades Crossroads Dragway where all of your favorite drag trucks will be competing for some big time cash. Get involved, get your truck ready, and come race at the biggest diesel-powered weekend of the year.

If you’re wanting to get your tickets early, great news! They are now available on the Scheid Diesel website. Friday, your entry tickets are $40.00. Saturday, they are also $40.00. But, if you’re planning on being there the whole weekend, for $75.00, you can save a few dollars and catch al of the action. You will need to book your hotels early for this event and you’re running out of time.
