Thailand is well known for turning up the heat on everything from food, weather, and nightlife, but now drag racing too!  This nitrous-squirted diesel-fueled monster of a mini truck runs a near 8-second pass through the dark of night igniting passions of his onlooking crew. Staging this clean looking diesel drag truck is as much a spectacle as his twitchy run. Spooling his massive powerplant to the rev limiter the driver lights the rear rubber with what sounds to be a third gear burnout.

Lighting up the tires, this nitrous fed diesel stages for a run.

Tires thoroughly tacky, the truck lines up and waits for the tree. Standing on the throttle, flames popping out the exhaust on the rev-limiter, the driver prepares to let fly the trans break. When the tree flashes the lights, the truck hooks and leans back hard on its wheelie bar. The instant the truck leaves the line, its direction of travel is torqued to the right.

Heading right for the K-rail, the driver keeps his foot planted and muscles it down the track, wrestling the machine to stay on the centerline. All the way to the 60-foot mark the run looks sketchy, no doubt he was sawing away at the yolk fighting for control.

Flying through the traps in the dark of night the diesel freight train clocks an 8.17 ET, at around 172 mph. You can hear the cheers and yells of the thrilled crew. No slouch for a diesel drag truck!

Leaving the line the truck hooks and veers to the right, the driver muscles it back to the center but fights past the 60-foot mark.
